It is 100% possible to do this. Don’t ever believe the myth that you will get fat once you give up smoking.
Eating food is just one way of curbing your appetite for nicotine. But there are so many other ways to go about it!
You don’t have to keep eating all the time. No one is forcing you. Your addiction is not forcing you to eat.
Well, for starters, when you’re a smoker, you have no energy. You have no energy to exercise, no motivation to go hiking, walk around the block, play tennis, or do any sort of physical activity.
You’re a slave to nicotine.
After a few days, you’ll notice your energy level fly through the roof!
Why is that?
Smoking depletes your oxygen intake, and it clogs your lungs with tar. You think you can breathe to your fullest with clogged lungs? Absolutely not!
Remember, you only exhale 10% of what you inhale, so there is a LOT of leftover smoke that stays in your lungs.
Easy to understand now, isn’t it?
So when you finally quit, and that smoke from your lungs eventually clears, you begin to breathe better. You’ll begin to feel great, and that’s when your energy skyrockets.
Do You Think You’ll Be Lazy Then?
Mostly likely not.
If you’re bouncing off the walls with joy and excitement because of this renewed energy, do you think you’re just going to want to sit on the couch all night and stuff your face?
You’ll want to be active, clean the house, take a walk, join the gym, or start a hobby. You’ll do this all naturally.
The second you start to get lazy is the moment nicotine strikes back with a perfect mind trick. You don’t want to be caught off guard, especially in a vulnerable moment.
That has happened to me dozens of times. You must always be on your toes.
But it’s totally possible to not gain weight.
You’ll be freaking out in the very beginning anyways, so you’ll want to stay busy to keep your mind off cigarettes.
If you’re active and running errands and taking walks and doing physical things, you won’t gain weight, you’ll be burning calories.
You could plant a garden, rearrange your living room, clean the bathroom, sort the recycling, etc.
There are so many ways you can keep active and not just sit around and eat all day.
You might even LOSE weight.
When I quit, I went back to the gym. I had always had a membership, but I never went on a regular basis.
Even though I started out slow, just being there was motivation to continue going.
Slowly but surely I went from walking on the treadmill to running. I started out going to the gym for 30 minutes, but now I go for at least an hour.
I used to be lazy and sit around my apartment all night and chain smoke. I wasn’t active at all. I did nothing with my life. I was eating horribly, too, because I just didn’t care about myself.
However, you should never replace eating with smoking. You’ll end up feeling much worse than ever before.
You don’t NEED to join a gym to lose weight.
Remember, all that smoke that was stuck in your lungs is now escaping, making it much easier for you to breathe.
More oxygen means more energy, and more energy means you won’t be lazy in your everyday life.
You’ll wake up every morning feeling wonderful! You might even burst into tears because you’re so happy.
Trust me, everything in life is possible. All your dreams can come true!
Be active, and don’t be lazy. Take control and never look back. Be the NEW you.
