As we grow older, our bodies and mind start to age.
We get more aches, pains, decreased energy levels, and a plethora of other ailments a lot more often than the average 21 year old.

Those of you who are getting up there know exactly what I’m talking about.
We all want to be as vibrant for as long as possible.
I, myself, want to live to be 100 years old. I don’t want to die young because of some preventable disease.
I am not naive. I know everybody grows old eventually. I’m not always going to be able to compete physically with a 21 year old.
I’m pushing 40 right now.
So anything that I can do to make myself a better version of myself I’m going to do it.
At this point in life, I feel it’s important more than ever.
The difference between smokers and non-smokers is that smokers are constantly, all day and all night, thinking about their next cigarette, whether they want to admit that or not.
It’s true.
Non-smokers, like myself, don’t have those thoughts anymore.
I can think about my job more. I can think about being productive more. I can take full advantage of every situation and be in control of it all.
I have the edge.

I know, that as soon as I get up in the morning and I’m feeling amazing right off the bat, I have the edge over everyone else who wakes up feeling like crap.
When I get to work and this person is hungover and that person smells like an ashtray, and another person is crabby and sick, I already know I have the edge over them.
Whether or not I make more money than them is irrelevant.
I’m just saying I’m completely self-aware of everything that is going on around me at all times.
I’m more energetic, my reaction time is faster, I get less stressed out, less anxiety, and definitely more stamina throughout the day.
That’s what having the edge can do for you.
It’s like night and day for me.
I used to feel like crap all the time when I was a chain smoker.
I constantly had anxiety, constantly was unsure of myself, and constantly moved no where in life.
It always made me so sad to see other people get promotions and move up in their job when I knew deep down that I had it in me, but drugs were paralyzing me and preventing me from being my true self.
Now I feel like a cloud has been lifted off me.

As a non-smoker, I’m simply better equipped to handle life.
I’m not being dragged along in the grips of addiction anymore. I am in full control.
I have the edge and I feel it’s very important to maintain that going forward.
It keeps me one step ahead of everyone else. Well, at least all those smokers out there.

I just know that keeping myself in the frequency of feeling great all the time brings rewards from the universe.
I know that if I show up to work feeling amazing and you feel like crap, I’m going to have a better day than you, even if you happen to make more money than me.
That’s irrelevant.
Money is just a material object.
I’m talking about feelings, thoughts, ideas, conversations, expressions, before and after work, and all the way up until you finally hit the sack.
Not just work.
I have the edge in all aspects of life, and as I’m pushing 40, that’s a great thing to have.
Come join me and see for yourself.
