Cigar Smoker

Now while it’s true they are not inhaling (or trying not to) any smoke, they are still absorbing nicotine through their mouth tissues.

Basically a cigar is one fat cigarette that equals the amount of tobacco in about 5 cigarettes (or more), and without a filter.

“You can certainly inhale the smoke from cigars, though it is quite harsh.”

What happens if you do?

You might choke or cough, because without the filter, the smoke will be harsh on your throat. It’s not going to be as pleasant a feeling as smoking a regular cigarette.

After all, one cigar equals the amount of tobacco in 5 cigarettes, so naturally it’s going to be a bit more harsh.

Even if you intend on not inhaling any smoke, you will still absorb nicotine through your mouth tissues, and possibly even your fingertips.

You will still be feeding your body nicotine, and that means physical dependence.

How often do cigar smoker’s have one?

Well, at first it might be for those special occasions, like the arrival of a baby, a promotion, birthdays or anniversaries, or even at holidays.

“Name a special time, and there will be an excuse to smoke a cigar.”

That might turn into more frequent times, like the weekends, or hanging out with friends.

Then it might be once a day after a long day at work.

Though cigars are not nearly as lethal as cigarette smoking, that does not mean for one second that they are a safe alternative. They are not.

You can still get lung cancer, mouth cancer, and emphysema.

You are not immune to anything.

Cigar glamour

Cigars are seen as very masculine, and you’ll often see men in movies smoking them. They’re seen as powerful, tough, and macho.

Men who want to evoke that type of persona and be seen that way, indulge in them. It boosts their ego.

Women see that and are attracted to them.

Rich people smoke cigars a lot, too.

In a way, they are showing off to others. They are saying, “I can smoke something expensive and I can afford them.”

Watch old movies about the Mafia and you’ll always see the aggressive men, who are rich and powerful, smoking cigars. It just goes with the territory.

You see this on film and think, “Wow, they look so cool!”

Sadly, this is how most people would react. But little do they know the dangers of smoking.

Cigars are not a safe alternative to cigarettes. You can still die of all the terrible diseases that tobacco causes.

You are not immune to anything.

Just because you aren’t inhaling does not mean you are protected from nicotine.

“If it weren’t for nicotine, you wouldn’t be smoking them.”

Think about that the next time before lighting up for that special occasion. Hopefully, you’ll take a step back and realize how stupid it really is.

It is not safe.

It is a one-way ticket to health problems, and a quicker way to death.

Of course this is true. Skin is not a solid object. Why do the fingertips of hardcore smokers turn yellow then?
